Daniel is a highly experienced Charge Nurse with nearly 12 years’ experience, four of which were spent in the renowed Osborn 2 Spinal Injuries Unit at the NHS Northen General Hospital (NGH) in Sheffield.

 

Daniel, as a charge nurse was responsible in leading a multi-displinary specialist team, providing rehabilitation and surgical care of client’s who sustained serious physical (spinal cord injury) and psychological injuries, bringing his experience in case management of complex and catastrophic injured clients to Birchwood & Co Case Management. 

 

Daniel as well as leading a nursing team within the specialist spinal cord unit at the NHS NGH. He also has experience in providing complex care in Accident & Emergency (A+E), Medical Acute Unit (AMU), respiratory unit, brain injury, covering a variery of complex and catastrophic injuries.

 

Daniel understands the importance of building relations with clients and families and has the ability to deal with challenges faced in catatrophic injured clients, particulary spinal cord injury and understanding the life changing and long term impact of this type of injury.

   

Outside of work Daniel enjoys scuba diving, skiing and cooking. Daniel is also a world’s invitee, representing England at international level competition of tabletop stategy game, certified mountain leader, fire marshall and PADI open water certified scuba diver. He also loves spending time with his new born baby and wife.
